      Welcome to dreamviews!
False awakenings can be very frustrating after a while especially after you gain experience. It is best to try to go the conventional way and try an induction technique or reality checking. Make a dream journal and try to find common dreamsigns. From there, look for those dreamsigns in your dream, and voila!
But if you really want to induce a false awakening, autosuggestion or MILD will work. Just create a mantra like "When i fall asleep, i will dream that i have awoken" or "Next time i dream, i will have a false awakening" and make that the last thought in your head.
      Hope this helps!

I sometimes do use inducing a false awakening in my WILD sessions.
After having had a LD session, while still in bed I often try to remember the details of my LD to then be able to tell it to my partner. Sometimes, if I do this without moving, it turns into a dream of me telling about my LD. Another false awakening I experience sometimes is, that I plan to get up and going, but I did not actually move and it turns into a dream.
Now I use this actively to start dreaming and as I expect it, these are easy to become lucid. I do this by imagining how I get out of bed to continue my day, while recollecting the feeling of a false awakening. Or, if I had already a LD that day and want to continue, I start recollecting and telling the LD in my mind.
