      I REALLY need ADVICE PLEASE!

Hey everyone I got a question, but first:

My dream recall is awesome ever since I started to attempt lucid dreaming a few weeks ago, (2-5 dreams per night now, most are VERY vivid). I have been doing reality checks every waking hour. Occasionally I listen to Binaural beats as I am falling asleep (Mainly cuz they're relaxing). I have also started to have false awakenings.

My question is this, I REALLY want to Lucid Dream EXTREMELY bad! I just don't know what else to do. Advice would be GREATLY helpful, any tips, good methods, etc. I have been looking foward to lucid dreaming ever since I started and have been disappointed every night.

I still keep my head up high even though its hard.

You only started a few weeks ago! Don't worry, it usually takes people a month or two to have their first lucid. I recommend doing a reality check everytime you wake up, since ou have been having false awakenings. Stay confident and good luck!

All about confidence and knowing that you'll have a lucid tonight. Check out silverbullets possibly the key to lucid dreaming thread, i think that's it. Also he has an updated version. For myself, i just recently found out how well confidence helps. I go to bed knowing I'll become lucid, and it has been helping a lot.

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

The fact that you want to dream lucidly is definitely a good thing because it keeps you motivated; just don't start stressing out about it. Be confident but not too confident because if you build up your expectations too much in one day and end up not having an LD, it can be slightly detrimental.

Also, be aware when doing your RCs! Don't make them a 'habit', as you may have read. The RCs don't cause the lucidity; it's the mindset that you're in when you go about doing them. Saying this, you don't need RCs at all to become lucid, just mindfulness, although you should definitely keep doing your RCs. After all, you want to remember what RCs there are, and how to confirm that you're dreaming.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Trust me, if you keep at it, you will succeed. Keep your motivation up and you will have a lucid dream eventually.

reality checks are the key to becoming lucid, at least for me. checking hands works for me, then try leaping, its easier than flying, and can also get you to wake up in your dream
