so i told one of my friends all about lucid dreaming and he said it all sounds to hard, and is there an easier way. so i told him about deild. and he just casualy said il give it a crack. he doesnt have a dream journal or anything he just tried it and got it first try. and as if thats not bad enough i was trying to tell my brother how good they can be and he wouldnt listen, he just said that sounds gay. then he heard what my friend did and said he does it all the time and has been for ages. he explained deild. and i said do you know your dreaming when you do it or not. and he said yea its sweet i fly and stuff. he didnt even know what it was. and i work so hard for ages and havent even had a proper one yet.

Don't get jealous..... Get even! It took me a few months to get my first lucid so don't worry about time periods. But since your on these forums and have access to all these tutorials and all the info, where as your friend knows and 'claims' he can DEILD it probably means when you eventually have your first lucid. Your going to be better at it than he is when he first tried it. You'll even overtake him most likely seeing as you can experience different techniques and since your journalling your probably going to remember MORE of your lucids. Just trust yourself Qwer, it will happen. Maybe even ask your friend for advice, i know that will be like swallowing a knife lol, but its for a good cause . Good luck for future attempts.

There's always going to be someone out there who's better than you at everything. Now that he's so used to having them, he doesn't get excited over the small things that us mortals think are awesome. Everyone is individual and it takes different amount of time to master lucid dreaming. Just know you can and will do it, aslong as you work hard and want to. See it like this. Say the best movie you know. Don't you just wish you hadn't seen it, only to see it for the first time again? Well, lucid dreaming is JUST like that for you

Yeah i've been lucid dreaming since childhood, but it only just started being important to me like 6 months ago. Now that i'm actually excited about it and want to, i realize the lucid dreaming i'd done whilst a child was different. Sure, i knew i was dreaming and could fly and do stupid shit, but i didn't have goals (or "a goal" since i only have one goal) and now i realize there's a difference between mindlessly knowing you're dreaming and going with the flow, and attempting to remember something from the waking world and trying to carry that out. It's been immensely frustrating for me and I only succeed about once or twice a week.
