I remember this one time where I had a dream of this one Pokemon episode where Ash, Misty and Brock are on that boat (the S.S. something...). I went through the episode in first person view (I don't remember everything now since this was like back in high school, but I clearly remember where they battle that guy and his Raticate). I think I got around to the part where the ship starts sinking, but anyway when I woke up it was playing on my TV and exactly where my dream left off.

Is there a word for this? Did my brain just decide to try projecting what I was hearing while I was asleep? I've never heard of this happening before, but it was pretty f***n cool ^^ It's like watching TV while you're asleep lol, but it never happened again after that.

Sometimes sounds and visuals from reality will seep into your dreams; after all, your mind can't completely shut everything out when you're asleep. It's similar to how you might have had a sore arm in a dream, only to wake up and find that you were lying on it awkwardly.

Yes this is exactly it and has been scientifically proven in a sleep lab.

You can also have precognitive dreams, that may be it. This would be much more exciting if the TV was off while you were dreaming, but much more understandable if it was on and you were hearing this in your sleep.
