Maybe it's just because your really tired? Like, if you're super tired, your mind isn't that great, and you can see all sorts of weird stuff. For example, the guy who stayed up for 72 hours straight for a world record, had hallucinations about being a football player, seeing stuff, e.t.c all while he was just sitting down. |

Please feel free to check out my DEILD guide: http://bit.ly/2DOqiyT
probably hypnagogic hallucinations, but since you are abruptly woken up in a stage prior to full sleep they take a while to fade, and you didnt notice them before since you weren't concious. ive seen two bald cats, a wierd callender on my wall, flying bits of string, the grim reaper, and the most realistic was probably bright blue flames engulfing my fingers for about 15 secs. |

Lucid Dreaming since 3/30/10
This happened to me for the first time ever last night. I kept dozing off and repeatedly snapping out of sleep. After one awakening I saw this big mesh pyramid thing hanging from my ceiling. I was confused because I knew that shouldn't be there. It lasted long enough for me to focus on it and see it vividly. There was a spider hanging from it. I looked around for anything close I could kill the spider with. Once I didn't see anything in arms-reach I looked back, and it was gone. I did like 8 RCs to make sure I was awake. The whole experience really freaked me out. |

i've woken up in the middle of the night and saw a snake in the room a few times. one time there were ants everywhere and another time bees. i would wake up in another room because i ran away. |

So apparently is more common than i thought, great, also great to know i waasnt dreaming!. |

yes i do not usually feel fear, only curiosity, and usually i try to touch it. It's strange, it looks lifelike yet I know it is not real. I do not know exactly why, but maybe even though we may fear things like the reaper (i think the cats were scarier though, they had red eyes and stared at me for a while) if we ever saw one we would not believe it since we know it is only in our imagination. Or our subconcious may know that it is not real, or even remember it from before we woke up. |

My mom used to do this too, but I wouldn't remember her doing it so I would wake up really confused. |
