      Is Low Level Lucidity Normal?

I've been doing great these last 3 weeks. I've had, I think 5 Lucid dreams.

However, only two of those are what I would consider to be good. The other 3 seemed to be very low level. I realized I was dreaming, but basically went along with the dream, and forgot I was dreaming within 10 seconds or so. I wasn't even Lucid enough to think to do RC's or stabilize anything.

Are these lower level Lucid Dreams normal? As I get more, and get better and better, will these pretty much go away, and I'll be able to gain higher lucidity?

Also, when I have a 'good' lucid dream, where I stayed in for at least a little bit, and did what I wanted, I have AMAZING recall of these dreams. For these lower level Lucid Dreams, it's almost as if I can't remember much at all.

Just wanting to know if these are something that everyone has to deal with, or if they'll go away, as I get better? And if so, any way to hurry that along? Seems like such a waste.

Yeah, sometimes you can be lucid and think like you would while your awake. Other times you can get lucid and youll still be fairly groggy and not really have the same thought processes.

The best thing to do is when you realise your dreaming, make it obvious, scream "IM DREAMING RIGHT NOW" or something similar. Once its fully sunk in that its a dream you shouldn't have too much problem.
But your right in thinking that with more experience, the less you'll suffer from this. But don't expect it do vanish completely.

Thanks, I'm just getting back into this after a few years off, so I almost feel like I'm starting from scratch. Other than my dream recall jumped back to where it was when I was doing this a lot. 2-3 pages on average every night.

I'm reading Nina's Stabilization Tutorial right now. Hopefully I can find some more tips in there.

The problem though, seems to be that I don't even think to do these things. It's so low of lucidity, that I might as well not be lucid.

I think I just need to ingrain it in my brain, that whenever I go lucid, I immediately stabilize. Maybe then, I'll do it subconsciously in these low level ones.

The longer you do this for, the easier it gets to stabilize and make the dream more likely to last longer. I have been at it for a while now but I still have short fuzzy LD's. Just try to stabilize and keep at it, you'll have all kinds of LD's even when you're "pro." Good luck!

Ive posted it in another thread today. But if you have a couple of things you wanna do when your lucid, write them in your DJ. I.e wanna fly. Write them in your DJ somewhere. Then have a mantra like "when i become lucid, i will stabilise the dream, then fly" it'll help you keep focus. But yeah read that guide. Nina is awesome!
