FAs can happen to anybody,at any point of their lives..^_^
I've had them since I was a kid,and still have them alot. Im a natural LDer but it doesnt really have anything to do with it..I had them in normal dreams aswell when I was young..but then it usually made me lucid..but well >_< you can always have one at anytime lol ^_^

They are very confusing, and its important to stay calm. (i must sound like a flight instructor or something )

That seems a little ironic. False awakenings are usually blissful and you don't know they are fake until you *really* wake up. I know nothing, though. I don't recall ever experiencing panic/fear/confusion in my FA's...

Imagine having over 3 a night, and not knowing if you were sleeping or dreaming or in the middle or what.
In EVERY area of dreaming and awareness it is important to remain calm to check if you are really dreaming or awake.
