      Getting back into it

      Good to be back here and see so many active forum members.

      I was an active member about 9 months ago, and filled up several dream journals and got lots of great info from the community here, had my first lucid dream and about 20-30 total in a 5 month period.

      I stopped because I became obsessive with the dream world, and it was constantly occupying the forefront of my consciousness. I started to forget who I was, basically.

      Now I feel much less in touch with myself though, and would like to restart my dream practice. Any advice for someone rusty, just getting back into it? How do you motivate yourself to keep writing in your journal in the morning?

      Thanks all:}

      Try writing down some tasks og goals that you want to accomplis in your LDs. That use to help motivation

      Hello menelvagor, welcome back!

      I know how difficult it is to remember to write a dream journal, for me I have to keep the dream in my mind constantly and one slip of conciousness and it's gone. To stay motivated I keep the pen and paper right next to my bed so it takes minimal effort to note down the dream. I also find that I am more motivated when it is less of a struggle to write down the dream, when it is easy to recall the dream. So try this, go to bed at the same time every night, aim to get at least 8 hours (preferably an hour before you will be disturbed). I can advise that you don't think about your dreams too much this time, attempt to control yourself, and that way let all those suppressed feeling just before you go to bed, that will probably help in both matters.

      Nice lucid count, and good luck! Happy Dreams
