      An experimental experiment

Ok I thought up an idea for an experiment to try out during lucidity. I have yet to try it myself but I'm curious to see what the results are for other people.

So here it is, The blue object test: An experimental method of creation within a dream.
Once lucid, hold out your dominant hand, open with palm facing up, observe that there is nothing on or unusual about your hand. Then close your hand into a fist. (optional: look away or close your eyes) Concentrate on the thought "there is a blue object in my hand" but do not think of a specific object, keep your mind blank. When you are ready look back at your hand and open it to see what is inside.

Try additional experiments by replacing the words blue and/or object with words of your choice, or by using your other or both hands.

Let me know how this experiment works for you, what you find and if the thing you find has any meaning or connection or is justa random thing xD

Thanks and hope you like it c:

Well.. i have tried something similar a long time ago..
I tried to make a bow and arrow appear behind me.. and they didn't..
      BUT
when i imagined how it looked like, how it was painted like, how long the arrows were, what colors, stripes, etc etc.. it was right behind me ..
      ..
But i will try it like you described when i get lucid again :]

I will try this tonight. I am going to have a hard time thinking about this enough to remember to do it, without already deciding what the object is. I'm already picturing myself doing it, and spoiling the surprise.

Moved to general lucid discussion :3

and hmm this does sound interesting indeed!
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

I think I almost accomplished this task last night. I have a vague memory of repeatedly opening my hand to see what was in it, without knowing why. I was only semi-lucid for a few minutes this morning before my alarm went off. I was standing in someone's house, in a big group of people, opening and closing my hand. There was nothing inside. I was very distracted, because Mila Kunis was trying to show me her new boob job. I couldn't just ignore her...

      I will try again tonight.
