      My First Wild Attempt.

      Hi everyone,
Last night was really the first chance I got to try out a WILD. I just learned about this five days ago, and last night was really the first night I could do it. So I woke up at 5 after 6 hours of sleeping (I got to bed really late). I go over some multiplication facts in my head, then get up to use the bathroom. I come back and lie on my back with my hands on the sides of me in bed. I don't know how long it was, but I think I was drifting to sleep, but then all of a sudden, I start to feel pressure on my feet. I then notice that my hands are starting to go numb. I get really excited, but I have to force myself to calm down. After lying there for a while, nothing happens, but then I feel my back go numb. I get really excited then, so I lose the numbness in my back. After lying in my bed a bit more, I hear my mom coming downstairs to wake me up (I am going skiing today) so I quit the attempt.

Wow! That was an amazing first experience for me. Even though I only got past my forearms, and the bottom of my legs being numb, it was amazing! I am confident to attempt some more later on, and I wish tonight, but I have a friend coming over.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to get past just my arms and legs? I think it was because I got really excited.

When attempting WILD always remember when you get past the numbness or vibrating stage you will/might experience hallucinations and your heartbeat and breathing will increase rapidly. When those things happen just stay calm and focus on what your objective is, if you see anything scary just push it aside but don't ignore it. Just tell yourself that this is part of the process and hopefully that helps you. Try and keep the excitement to a low so you don't force yourself awake, that's a common mistake a lot of people make and they end up getting so excited it wakes them up.

I hope this helps you and also have fun skiing and good luck with your WILD attempts.

Yep! Thanks for the advice. I think that this first attempt went really well for me, and I hope next time I try, I get a little bit further in to the first stage.
