I was just wondering if anyone had come up with other ways of remembering their dreams?

I'm sure that using a voice recorder is a common one. I recorded my first dream in a very long time a couple of days ago (at about 04:00) using my MP3 player's voice record facility, and was amazed when I listened to it at the number of details that I had recorded and since completely forgotten. It's really amazing, because I never realised that I would forget so much. This method seems to be the quickest and most convenient to me - but then, I'm a very slow writer.

Another method I used to use when I was very young (although not for the purposes of lucid dreaming, just because I liked my dreams) was to draw maps on paper of the layouts of the places that I had been in my dreams. I think a lot of those are probably still tucked away in my parents' attic actually.

This technique evolved somewhat as I got older with the advancement of PC's and game level editors, and I found myself creating some of my dream locations in first-person-shooter games such as Duke Nuken 3D and Blood. This method takes a lot of time though, and I often found that it took away from the dream itself, but some of my most inspired levels I created were based on dreams that I'd had.

Anyone used any other methods?
