      Question on daydreaming.

      I heard that daydreaming increases your chances on lucid dreaming.
      so my idea is to daydream often and try to spot mistakes in the dream, so if I really dream I would do the same, spot a mistake and become lucid.

      If I combine this wit All Day Awareness, would it increase my DILD chances ?

      Yeah well, its visualizing you want to go after, not so much daydreaming, which imo can have the reverse effect. Daydreaming tends to be that you're thinking something over in your head, not really aware of anything going on in the real world, then 5 mins later you realise you've been staring at the wall for 10 minutes playing some crazy scenario in your head, happens a lot in school lol. Visualizing, which has helped me a lot with lucidity recently, is the same thing but, more deliberate and focused i guess. For instance I would visualise walking around my room, touching things, then raising my hands up to my face and repeating 'im dreaming', then I visualise becoming lucid and acting it out from there (creating fireballs, flying etc)
      It's great to do this before bed, if you can do it once you've relaxed in bed and cleared your daily thoughts, you are more than likely going to have a dream either about it, or very close to it. Combine this with wbtb and boom! lucid.

      Maybe someone with more experience and better wording could add more, but yeah visualising is a key factor, visualize yourself becoming lucid and what you will do once lucid!

      So visualating muself becoming lucid will help me to get lucid ?

      Well have you ever been watching tv or playing video games up until you fell asleep, only to have a dream about what you was last watching? It has something to do with the visual part of your brain and your short term memory, or something lol..

      I once caught a brief story on the news right before i fell to sleep of a murderer chopping up his victims and leaving them around the country. Lets just say I had a very disturbing dream that night..

      So with practise, you can use this to your advantage, with visualization or meditation - Instead of the tv deciding what you will dream about, you can make your own tv programme, about becoming lucid!

      And a little tip - the more emotionally fuelled, exciting and dramatic you visualize and play out your little dream scenes, the more likely they are to stick! the more likely your brain is going to go right, that looks fucking awesome, im totally dreaming about that tonight!

      Is this similar to like when you watch things and they play through in your mind until you go to bed so you dream about it? and can day-dreaming be therefore be used as a prep before an actual dream to plan how you would like the dream to go?
