im still new here , but waking up as soon as you realize it is not strange |

Last night, I had a dream where I was doing something so outragous, I ased myself if I was dreaming. I realized I was, but then I woke up. That was one of the first times I realized I was I was dreaming in a dream. For the first time, is it usual to wake up as soon as you realize it? |

It's not unusual to wake up after realizing that you're dreaming, especially during the first couple times. My advice would be not to think of your physical body or yourself lying in bed, and to remain calm. Touching objects and slowly spinning in a circle to take in your surroundings will help greatly, as doing so will ground you in the dream. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
