I've tried to have lucid dreams before, and I made some progress! But I so easily forget why I try, and I haven't tried lucid dreaming since the summer. You'd think that motivation would be apparent, after all, you can do anything in a lucid dream! Real life is distracting, I suppose. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem - I'm impressed with the people here who stick with it without immediate results! |

When I lose the willpower to work for my LDs I like to read through some of the members' dream journals. If I find some really cool entries I become inspired. It also helps to have one specific thing you really REALLY want to do in a lucid. |

Sometimes I lose motivation myself. For example, I wasn't doing anything with lucid dreaming for months right before I joined DV. A really interesting dream renewed my interest, leading me to even look stuff up and research dreams when I'd only been messing around previously. If I lose motivation and want it back, I also find that going over dream journals can really spark inspiration. Especially going over my own, because I'm like "Holy crack, I forgot how crazy this stuff was!" |
