how to overcome fear of WILD?

Hello I started with lucid dreaming for a while ago but took a break and now I'm back. Well I've always wanted to try WILD since people say it's the most clearest and you can really get lucid whenever you want.

But... I'm really really scared for SP, hallucinations and all that stuff that comes with it. I know it's only in the head but it still feels creepy that you are there helpless at night and can't move.

Is there some way to overcome it?

Realize this: the hallucinations are all in your head. I'm not going to say they are fake, because I am one of the people who stick closely to the 'dreams are real too', but they can not harm you. I can't remember who said this, but here is a nice quote: 'SP is only scary if you are scared of it.' Just stay calm and keep going. The hallucinations will harm you as little as a scary movie.

If it still freaks you out, then WILD may not be the best solution. Other induction techniques can give you very clear LD's as well. But you only need to realize what the hallucinations really are and how little they can really harm you.

The best way to WILD is to ignore those SP hallucinations. They just distract you from your purpose. The goal is to stay as sleepy as possible but keep a sparkle of lucidity (remember your purpose). Besides, many REM transitions are very smooth. It's not like every paralysis is terrifying, since many times you will simply feel your body numb.

Don't stress about it, it's much more exciting than it is scary

This. Definitely this. It's scary in the same way that losing your virginity is scary. It's just a new and exciting experience.

And the worst that can happen is, well, nothing. Nothing bad can happen. Enjoy the exploration.

Sometimes I'm afraid to perfrom WILD just because it's dark and i'm scared of ghosts and stuff. Believe me, SP fear is easier to overcome.
      My opinion:
*Lucid Dreams, OBEs, Astral Projections are one and the same.
*There are no levels of lucidity. Quality changes if you apply some deepening.
*Lucid Dreams do not last more than 20 minutes.
      *Wolves are beautiful.

What scares me isn't really the sleep paralysis itself, it's more the hallucinations...
I have never tried to WILD either, but I've been thinking it's time to stop being such a pussy and just do it, maybe it will be worth it c:
      I might try it tonight!

It won't, unless you really expect it to. That being said, when you're in the dreamworld, capable of doing anything, I don't think you will even remember the big hairy spider. Even if you do, you can easily own it. It's your world after all
