There is no certain amount of time it takes people to get their first LD. Lucid dreaming is a skill and with all skills it takes different people different amounts of time to get the hang of it. |

So suddenly from using the dream journal, I have gone from having VERY minimal dream recall (one dream a month) too 2-3 dreams for the past 2 night's after using the dream journal. Which is awesome. During the day I am doing reality check's like asking my self how I got here and doing reality checks (trying to put my fingers - through my hand) and seeing if I can breathe thorugh my nose. |

Improving your dream recall is the first step, and a very important one. But that alone, and even doing RCs, won't typically "cause" you to LD. In fact, I would caution you to think about LDing as something passive that just happens if you do a, b, and c. Lucid Dreaming is not a side effect. Most people (non-naturals) find that taking a more active approach to inducing one is the only way for them to lucid dream. For example: try practicing WBTB (Wake Back To Bed). |

Okey I will look this method up and yeah if you can see my original post I'm an idiot lol |
