So, you've been able to have a lucid dream for like... 5 seconds, and then it faded out? Great! You're only 1 easy step from lucid dreaming properly!

The theory

The brain is a-m-a-z-i-n-g, it can create incredible worlds inside of your mind, it can do in seconds without any effort from your part what most artists can't do in weeks of hard work, it's the ultimate GPU, comparable to the Holodeck from Star Trek and pretty much the closest you'll get to being a god.

However, no machine has unlimited power, and at some point your brain just says "to hell with this I'm shutting down". This is what happens when you start having a lucid dream and you start getting excited and doing amazing things, you overload your brain and, incapable of simulating everything properly, it disables your vision and soon after the rest of your senses.

The technique

Slow down, easy as a pie, if you go blitzkrieg-pop-style trying to have a party in your dreams at full motion, you'll lose everything. Simply, instead of running from your home to the playhouse, walk slowly step by step and looking at your surroundings (they should become more real!), it doesn't matter much if you get excited as long as you take things easy.

Similarly, don't move your head too fast, touch too many things or in general make too much effort, if you don't want your game to crash, don't shoot too many bullets, if you don't want your lucid dream to crash, don't go frantic.
