Purposely false awaken for easy entrance into LD

So I started using this technique a few weeks ago with great success. After waking up, I hit the snooze button and go back to sleep, then imagine my body lying in the bed. It's not hard for me to then "open my eyes" within my imagination and be staring at the wall in my room. Some have called this sensation "seeing through your eyelids."

Well after that, I get up and WAPOW i'm in a lucid dream. Easy as fuck. I don't even need to reality check, in fact I do the opposite. I try to convince myself that I'm in real life for the first minute or so. I find that because i'm in such a thin layer of sleep, it's incredibly easy to wake up during this period, so any kind of thoughts about me being in a LD will break my concentration and i'll usually wake up. But after I get through that, and throw a couple of dream spins in there, I'm solidly in the LD.

The great thing about this technique is that you can chain a bunch of these together to have multiple LDs. If you wake up after attempting the FA, you can keep your eyes closed and just try it again. The fact that you can allow yourself to be aware of the sensation of lying in your bed makes this technique much easier than the typical DEILD where you might try to induce the dream in some other location, or let the hypnotic imagery dictate where you end up.
      ---------

I had an experience with this about 30 minutes ago after waking up. This time, after waking up from the FA-induced LD, I just layed there keeping my eyes closed and immediately went into some pretty intense SP. So it's like I went from a DEILD directly into a WILD without any effort.

The main thing to take away from this experience, and what i'd like to share with you all trying to get LDs is that your imagination is your biggest tool. If you're tired and lying in bed, you can literally imagine yourself right into a dream, and it's not even hard. Forget about all the mechanics of trying to have a WILD or reality checking all day in hopes of a DILD. It's really as simple as using your imagination to open your dream eyes while you're laying in bed.

Anyone else have any experience with this, or comments?

This sounds really cool! I think I may try this sometime. Maybe after my second LD.

Interesting. This is the first time I've ever heard of such an easy-sounding thing. I will definatitely try this tonight and see what happens later on.

I'll definitely try this out as I'm having trouble with DEILDs at the moment.

If you can see through your eyelids then you are in a dream.

I allow myself to see the blackness after closing my real eyes. Then I wait a bit (how long you need to wait depends on how tired you are, but you'll know when you can do it by how easily images float into your mind. These images can be easily manipulated by you.), then use my imagination to "open my eyes", and I visualize my room exactly as I would see it if I were lying in my bed.

The key is to have an image of your room exactly as you see it when lying on your side before closing your real eyes. That way, before you open your dream eyes, you have an image of what you'll want to see and it'll be a realistic image. Then you just imagine it. Then I usually stay lying there for a while just staring at my room before I slowly get out of bed and begin doing whatever I feel like in the LD.

It does take some concentration to keep your focus on the room after opening your dream eyes. If you allow your focus to shift, or you become overly aware of it not being real, you'll wake up. That's because in the beginning, you're really just seeing a form of hypnotic imagery (which you are controlling) and you're still in a very fragile state of sleep. It's important to go slowly and really soak in all the detail to keep yourself grounded. Don't just jump out of bed and start shooting fireballs out of your ass or whatever the fuck you guys do. That will almost definitely lead to you waking up.

Another important note is to not get caught up in the dream and lose awareness. This is kinda LD 101, but you should always keep that in the back of your mind when you're in a LD. If you feel the dream starting to collapse, dream spin like a motherfucker. Wait until you see nothing but a blur, then stop and focus on the surroundings. Rinse and repeat if necessary, and it probably will be. It is possible to prolong your sleep many times using this method. Never give up, sometimes you'll feel incredibly exhausted and your body will be aching to pull out of sleep, but if you push through it the feeling will subside.
      ---------------

One final note, on sleep paralysis. You may go through this due to the amount of time it may take you to successfully "open your eyes." Some people find the sensation scary, and I've heard everyone experiences it differently. I for one feel like my body is being crushed by a thousand tons of pressure and my spine sends this shock of electricity through my extremities and it is incredibly painful every time... SOUNDS LIKE FUN, EH?!! But anyways, just stick it out and you'll be able to enter the dream world using the same FA technique I talked about. Stay calm through the process or you'll wake up. Don't worry, you're not gonna die.

I've had a few 'seeing through my closed eyelids' experiences, but haven't entered a dream from it yet. Will definitely experiment.

Do you let yourself be passively drawn to sleep, or do you actively visualise your room?
