I know that when you're starting lucid dreaming the excitement from realizing you're in one can be enough to make your brain crazy enough to turn things mighty wonky mighty fast, so you end up having a nightmare. As for the sleep paralysis, from what I understand it's really a genetic sort of thing. By avoiding panicking and focusing on your breathing you can usually get back to sleep or calm down enough to break free from it, in my experience. Someone with more knowledge of SP might be able to help you more with that end of things. As for the nightmares, as you get better at recognizing their triggers and controlling your dreams things should improve. There have been times when I've just found a door and left when I knew a nightmare was coming. |

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences , but you are not alone . It's pretty common to have the HH imagery during sleep paralysis and it varies from person to person . Some people just see blinking lights\colors others hear voices or loud noises . As undesirable as sleep paralysis may seem believe it or not it is something MANY are seeking to experience so they can WILD . |
