HELP! Lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis!!

Ok so I have few concerns and questions..

So these past few months of been attempting to become lucid and Ive had success in doing so. Most of them were good nothing bad happening, but I have had some where I dont feel comfortable anymore, something/someone is either harrasing me or one was impersinating my dad but I knew it wasnt him, turned into a dark shadow, in that dream I got scared and woke myself up. So as Ive been remembering my drems im noticing im having more of these "bad dreams". Also having these lucids dreams have made me have 2 sleep paralysis.
My first experience with SP was very frightening. I was in my room and could feel like something was touching me, nuzzeling my neck than heard a knock on my bedroom door and wasnt sure if I heard correctly than I was hearing my boyfriend talking in the room and I was confused, and quickly realized he was still sleeping beside me than I opened my eyes and saw a figure standing at the foot of my bed on my side and I got scared..tried to move but ovb couldnt and I tried to scream loud so I could wake my bf up to help me and all I could muster up was this creepy moan and I could feel my bf getting up and shaking me to wake up, finally I broke from it. Not gonna lie I was scared shitless to go back to sleep.
Anyways Ive had another since then but this time I didnt see anything becuase I couldnt open my eyes but again I could feel something touching my body, moving me around like buggin me I tried to say fuck off cause it was annoying, again I could hears voices in my room. I had a false awakening before this happened and I saw a handprint on my bed sheets. This time my bf wasnt there to wake me up so I tried to stay calm and eventually I broke free from it.

My concern is I find it quite odd as to why since Ive been lucid dreaming these bad dreams are very similar to my sleep paralysis..I know SP is cause sometimes induced from having a lucid dream but im wondering if I should stop to try to lucid dream just cause Iam getting scared to continue it? Has anyone else had something similar happen to them? I dont mind bad dreams in lucid dreaming but the SP experinences I can do without because they are quite scary..

I know that when you're starting lucid dreaming the excitement from realizing you're in one can be enough to make your brain crazy enough to turn things mighty wonky mighty fast, so you end up having a nightmare. As for the sleep paralysis, from what I understand it's really a genetic sort of thing. By avoiding panicking and focusing on your breathing you can usually get back to sleep or calm down enough to break free from it, in my experience. Someone with more knowledge of SP might be able to help you more with that end of things. As for the nightmares, as you get better at recognizing their triggers and controlling your dreams things should improve. There have been times when I've just found a door and left when I knew a nightmare was coming.

      No fear

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experiences , but you are not alone . It's pretty common to have the HH imagery during sleep paralysis and it varies from person to person . Some people just see blinking lights\colors others hear voices or loud noises . As undesirable as sleep paralysis may seem believe it or not it is something MANY are seeking to experience so they can WILD .
In order to counteract your fear you must remember that what you are feeling and seeing is not real . These are projections of your mind and as long as you remain calm you can even control them . It takes practice and some people even enjoy the hallucinacions and use them as a gateway to lucid dreaming . I imagine myself attacking these images during waking life , and for me at least , it carries over into sp and lucid dreaming . Ah the sastifaction of dominating something the mind conjures up , the imagery is yours don't be afraid they can't harm you.

Hello I hope I can shed some light on this situation. I am fairly familiar with WILD as it is my favorite induction technique.

That experience of yours as the others have mentioned is not alone. I once experienced the same thing and it scared me for some time. More than likely it is your mind manifesting that fear because you now associate it with falling asleep. Fear not! Its easy to overcome

Basically as the others have mentioned, you need to bring yourself to terms with the fact that it is all in your mind. If you come face to face with these kind of hallucinations again, close your eyes. Just try to go back to sleep and by closing your eyes you are in a way "containing the fear". Now it cannot spread into your visual field so you wont actually think its there in front of you. Instead it may manifest into a dream, in which case you will need dream control Once you simply accept the fact that it is a dream, it is your dream, and no harm can come to you, you will be able to conquer this. Another good way to rid of these terrors in a lucid dream is to close your eyes in the dream and think intently about something that makes you happy, or any other mood than what you are getting from the hallucinations. You can also picture a happy place or anywhere else (this requires more dream control skill though)

I hope these tips help you and once you conquer the fear I doubt it will come back to haunt you. Just keep with it and you will succeed! Do not let this stop you from lucid dreaming!
