My Progress: Tell me what you think

Am I on the right track? Here's my story: I joined DV a week or so ago and have started to take a log of all the dreams I remember. I have recalled dreams better than ever this week (there was only one day where I had 0 recall). I've been TRYING ADA and RC's all the time but sometimes I only remember 2/3 times a day so maybe that has to improve. I have no attained legit lucidity yet but I think I was close twice. Monday night I remember thinking I was lucid then waking up immediately, and last night, the exact same thing. Kind of sad funny thing is, both of those occasions I was with the same person in my dream. Maybe when I see her in my dreams I'll know I'm dreaming and it'll help... not sure...

anyways, from this does it seem like I'm on the right track? What can I improve?

      Thanks a lot guys

Overall it sounds like you are off to a great start. Just try to consciously work on being more aware and doing reality checks more frequently. I would recommend that you do a reality check whenever you remember to do so and then remain aware of yourself and your surroundings for as long as you can. Continue using your dream journal consistently and you should have your first lucid dream quite soon.

Avoid becoming frustrated. Having the wrong attitude towards lucid dreaming will only make it more difficult to achieve.

This. Also, you may want to try WBTB (wake back to bed). Get up after sleeping for a few hours, then go back to bed. Your chances of getting lucid are better than if you just sleep through the night.

Good job so far! In my experience, successful LDing is all about habit building. You build the right habits, and sooner or later they will help you out. I am awful at DILDs, but am okay in WILDs. This is because I try a WBTB often, but have just recently started doing active RCs throughout the day. Beyond that, always log your dreams, even if you only have time enough for a few keywords or phrases.

      Good luck!
