      Interesting experience...opinions?

Last night I had a very interesting experience. I won't describe the full dream, only the relevant parts.

I was at the beach. I go there every summer, and I was really trying hard to figure out WHY I was at the beach. I thought to myself that it was too early. I was thinking "How come I'm at the beach...if we even haven't celebrated my birthday yet?". My birthday is in June, and I couldn't remember celebrating it. Somehow, I came to the conclusion that I must be on vacation in May (even though it's April).

Later in the dream, I was at this airport place. I pass by a radio, which has a generic Rihanna song playing. I don't think much of it, and keep going. Eventually, I get to a point where there are a bunch of brand new, shiny sports cars. A I climb over one to get to wherever I was going, I hear the same Rihanna song on the radio. By "on the radio" I mean that it started playing randomly and I assumed that it was from a radio. Anyway, here's the interesting part: the lyrics of the song were "...dreams...dreaming". She seemed to repeat the word "dreams" and "dreaming" various times. I didn't think much of this either at the time - I even wrote in my dream Journal 'a Rihanna song about dreams of fame and materialism'. Rereading this dream, I made the connection:

Could my dream be hinting that it's a dream?

I've been doing many RCs lately, but somehow in my dream it never occured to me to do them. Have you ever had similar experiences?

It's very possible. In fact I recently had a dream where a pair of goggles told me that I was going to start dreaming. I "fell asleep" and awoke again in an airplane and suddenly became aware I was dreaming.

      Thanks goggles. ;3

Sometimes your waking mind differs greatly from your sleeping mind, and in that case it will take some time for your sleeping mind to take over the RCs of your waking mind. It took me a few months before I did my first RC within a dream, even later than I got my actual first lucid dream.
You should stay optimistic and keep doing RCs, it might take some time but it will definitely arive in your dreams, and if you have such significant signs in your dreams that's already quite an advantage.
Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]
