      Smile An Interesting Experience..

So, for the past 2-3 weeks, I was concerned that I wasnt able to become lucid anymore..

I had a break of the computer and began to once again start recalling my dreams, eventually, I had a dream and remembered it fine. - Happy!

The next night, another, even longer and more detailed dream, same with the next night.

About 6 more nights went on like this - not attaining lucidity, mind you - but stayed focussed.

LAST night, I performed my normal WBTB - woke up about 6 hours into sleep, had a stretch and went back to sleep - within about 20 seconds (or what seemed to feel like 20 seconds) I heard a voice..

Not any type of generic voice, a female voice.. My girlfriend. (Who doesnt live with me).

She said "Its time to wake up." I slowly opened my eyes and saw a hand and a head peeking from my wardrobe door. The clarity was poor, so I couldnt focus well enough.

As I was leaning up in bed, I said "This is a dream! Surely!". I decided to perform an RC or two.. I turned to look at my alarm clock - which Ive done previous times, as it shows an undescribable, incomprehendable text, assuring me im in a dream - but I couldnt move. I was frozen.

I kept looking at the person in my wardrobe - I wasnt frightened at all, and the vibes I got from him/her/it werent inducing fear of any kind.

Now, my backstory - ever since showing interest in LDing, Ive been seeking to find my Dream Guide, i havent had many lucids, but have actively searched for them, with no success.

Last night, before bed, I kept wondering about my dream guide, and whether or not I will meet them - who will they be.

Do you guys reckon this was them? Am I close to meeting them?

I have a feeling tonight, things will evolve even more - and I cant wait!

I don't know what I dream guide is, but it sounds like something spiritual and if so, I don't believe in it. I believe the person was in your mind. Many people hallucinate during paralysis. But I have no problem with you believing in it, not trying to be critical or anything.

It's great that you had a lucid dream and are building up your recall. And your 'feeling' that you'll have another LD or at least memorable dreams tonight is likely going to make it happen. Good luck.

Im not a spiritual person - well, not in that sense, anyway.

My idea of my "dream guide" is simply a dream character that I channel my lucidity through, to be able to control my dreams. I have very weak lucid control at the moment, and I believe once I find my DG, they will "reassure" me of what I can do in a dream. Its nothing spiritual, really.

In lamens terms - its an excuse for me to tell myself that I CAN do whatever I want in my dream, and that there are really no limits.

I like to believe if it's your dream-guide you'll know. At least for me anyway. That may have been your dream-guide, but you can't really find out till you go and ask her!

Also, wouldn't it be kind of strange having your girlfriend as your dream-guide?

Hey Labrat! Im a kiwi too! Im in Wellington. Anyways, its possible it could have been your dreamguide but I would say it probably wasnt, its just sounds like either a hallucination from sleep paralysis or if you were actualy dreaming probably just a DC. Dont let that put you off though im sure youl find your dream guide soon enough! Iv been looking for mine for a long time and nothing yet but I havnt been actively searching for them. Good luck!

Also not too many of us NZers on here so yay go us!!
