No it's purely based on fiction. That movie has taken a few things like "Reality Checks" and tweaked them so that they fit into the movie, I'm ofcourse talking about the "totems". Also you don't dream when you're in a coma. |

in inception saito lost in his dream at last cobb(dicaprio) rescue him from that .... they refferd that situation as a term i forgot the name but thats not the matter ...lost in your subconscious is true or not ...... if a person lost in his/her subconscious means at the real world he/she is in coma right ..... is this concept is true or not ???? |

Dream sharing is not possible like in the movie. We do not have that technology yet. |
I think dream sharing is possible, just takes a lot of practice between 2 experienced LDers |

Spoiler for Secret to LDing:
How could two brains communicate ? |
There's already sub-forum about shared dreaming for experimental purpose. http://www.dreamviews.com/f144 |

ya right limbo is the term...but dream sharing is such a unbelievable thing how can 2 or more ppls share there dream because they have diffrent lifestyle, brain, subconscious, they face diffrent problems in daily life, mindset etc etc they are completly diffrent .. 2 persons A and B both having the same qualities like i above mentioned means it may possible i think..... but its highly impossible and you can never ever find the two person with these qualities so dream sharing is also impossible ... |
I don't know how shared dreaming works! The science has not yet discovered the secret behind it. 2 people sharing the exact same quality of dream is not possible, I agree. But receiving and sending information through dream is possible. And I think dreaming does not solely happens in the brain. The memory and dream plane are outside of brain IMHO. |

hmm may be ...in inception they shared their dreams via some machine right .. i know that all r pseudo but if anyone discoverd that type of machine it might be possible i think |
I don't think its possible. Two people might agree beforehand on what they might want to dream about, and both incubate that dream, but it doesn't mean that they had a shared dream. It would be interesting to test though. If you could each write down the conversation you had with the other person, and it was the same, that would be really something. |
hey its just my intention bro ..may be i was wrong |
As I said 'in my own experience' shared dream is possible and it's real without any technology, and the machine thingy in Inception for SD is just there to fascinate audiences lol. Everyone has different his/her own opinion and beliefs on shared dreaming. Shared dream is not something you have to believe, it's something you have to experience. So it would be wise choice if you test it out yourself. |
