Sounds like it to me. I always thought Viva la Vida sounded like they were talking about lucid dreaming, and the music video made it even more possible, with them all fading away and everything.

Ya I really like Coldplay, and their songs always have really deep hidden meanings I find, in their songs / lyrics.

A girl with a tough life dreaming about paradise. That's all it is... doesn't really matter if it's lucid or not. It's just a simple picture.

I dunno, to me it just seems deeper than a simple picture.. most lyrics at first glance usually seem simple and straight forward but i think there is usually an underlying deeper message, especially with a band like Coldplay.. and usually when people fly in their dreams they are lucid. Almost as if she has created her own paradise within her lucid dreams as a way to escape reality

lol I literally just looked up people's opinion on that on Google and found this cuz' this is also what I had finally just noticed. Here's some key lines "When she was just a girl, she expected the world, but it flew away from her reach, so she "ran away in her sleep"" In other words she ran away to her dream paradise, most likely one she created through lucidity "She "dreamed" of Para-Para-Paradise" Seriously, it even says dreamed... It also seems to follow with the latter, she'd be dreaming of the paradise that she created in her lucid dreams "In the night, the stormy "night, she'd close her eyes"" She'd close her eyes seems like a reference to her closing her eyes and going to sleep, and lucid dreams usually happen during sleep "In the night, the stormy "night, away she'd fly"" Often times what one does in lucid dreaming is well... flying! Add this to the other referenced lines and it's a perfect recipe for a song about lucid dreaming "Para-Para-Paradise "Every time she closed her eyes" Basically this could mean every time she goes to sleep
