      Faked Sleep Paralysis

Yesterday I was trying WILD for the first time, and after 15 minutes my body seemed to successfully lock up, and SP slowly crept over me. (What a strange feeling, by the way!) Unfortunately I wasn't patient enough and broke the paralysis and reset all my preparation for WILD.

I tried again after and my body seemed to be overcome my paralysis again, but it came on quicker this time. Unfortunately this was just a shadow of the real, enthralling paralysis I felt and I could move out of it straight away. I don't know if I was just numb and stiff or my body was trying to fake the SP, any insight?

I also couldn't get back into WILD after failing it the first time.
Goodnight and good luck. On and onwards, dreamers!

Quick question.. 1. What does SP feel like? 2. What did you do to break out of it?

I've never WILD before so it'll be interesting to know what to expect

It was strange, almost as if it crept up on me. The first thing that happened was that my hand locked up against incredible pressure, and I could feel it slowly creeping up my arm and into my body. It was quite different to what I was expecting, I expected it to freeze you in place straight away all over, but no...it crept up on you. I didn't have any hallucinations but it felt like a massive elbow as resting on my chest.
Goodnight and good luck. On and onwards, dreamers!

The correct term is actually NREM, SP is only felt when you are having the dream or when you awake from one. Therefore it is not necessary to get fully paralyzed when wilding. You should use the term NREM because sp is actually incorrect and it has built itself a false reputation.

In case you ever need to break out of real SP (like you just woke up and can't move), you start at your head and work your way down to your extremities until your entire body is out of paralysis. But don't be surprised if you fall back asleep instead.

As for what (real) SP feels like for me... Paralysis, heaviness, combined with a very strong feeling of being sucked back into the dream world, which feels like a physical place directly behind me. YMMV
