      How do you get nightmares?

Well my first lucid dream was actually a nightmare. And I think it's easier to realise you're dreaming when it's a nightmare. So I was wondering if there are any techniques or methods to have nightmares instead of regular dreams?

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

I heard that eating before bed increases the chance to give you nightmares.

That never worked for me. I always eat food right before I go to bed. :L

Eating candy before bed is known to induce nightmares. Eating cheese before bed induces good dreams. A lot of my dreams i became lucid in starts out as nightmares as well. Good luck!

Watch nightmare on elm street (the first one). Then proceed by watching all the grudge movies, and to top it off play amnesia the dark descent. But there isn't really any magical way to have nightmares. You just can increase the chances that's about it.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

I always thought it was specifically because it was Halloween and I've just watched scary movies... now it all makes sense! Lol
