      Sleep Paralysis Without Awareness

Has anyone else "half" woken up during the night, unaware you are waking up but you still are "waking up". I can really only describe it as sleep paralysis, with your eyes closed and you don't really know you are in sleep paralysis. Generally you are confused and just trying to move but it never dawns on you that "hey im sleeping" or "hey I'm in sleep paralysis". Also I've never woken up when experience it. I always go back to sleep.

Not exactly sure what you are describing, but on any awakening I have during the night I make a DEILD/ WILD attempt by meditating.

Most of these awakening have turned out to be false awakenings! So keep that in mind on your nightly "awakenings".

It doesn't have to be a false awakening but it's important to remember that it can be.

And by saying that this is sleep paralysis you are basically already saying that it is a dream, because sleep paralysis only happens to use when we are already sleeping. Unless one have the disorder that is called, wait for it... Sleep paralysis!

It's very hard to explain unless you have it. Who knows, I could be dreaming about sleep paralysis. When you think back to it I remember it like a dream. It's just feels so much like reality. My dreams don't tend to be very clear.

sounds like your referring to a false awakening like mastermind said. It happens to me alot and pretty much always makes me lucid, other then WILDing, its the best way for me to lucid dream. When I have awareness during these awakenings, I get the vibrations and go straight to a lucid from there, its awesome.
