Your Dream Guide?

So what exactly is a dream guide? Is it a person in the real world that is made into someone to help you in your dream? I've been hearing people talk about theirs, but I've never really found mine. Maybe I have to have more dreaming experience before I can find it. So is your dream guide the same person in every dream, or does the characteristics of it spill into another person each dream.

I haven't had enough lucids to find mine...but I will one day.

I haven't found mine yet, but from what I've heard from other people, they're usually the same person. It could be someone you know in RL or it could be something like a dragon, or anything, I suppose it could even be a character from a video game or just about anything you know.. since dreams are based off of memories it would likely have to be something you've seen before. If you are spiritual and think that some higher entity can help you in astral projection/ OOBE then anyone who can help you can work as a guide, if you believe dreams are just your subconscious the still principle still applies anything and anyone that can help you is your guide. My story of my guide is kind of special, but I can tell you but I don't expect you to believe me because I was skeptic myself at first. I met some guy in my dreams who said he wanted to help me and that his name was "Iapetos" I had never heard that name before, but I googled it and got a huge surprise of who it was. I tried to look for some information or books where he is mentioned but it was almost impossible to find anything except family tree, this still baffles me... He said he is only contactable when I am completely aware of my self and my memories during dreams, which makes that my ultimate goal. I wish you luck in your quest of finding your guide =)

A few nights ago in a semi lucid i met what might be my dream guide. I was in a canyon and i don't quite remember how i met this entity but i do remember this possible dream guide being very vivid looking, and i was able to hold a conversation. The appearance was a girl with long red hair, nothing special but more vivid than the other dream characters. I asked her to come in my next dream, and my very next dream was a false awakening with her in it. She told me i was dreaming and i became barely lucid again and asked her to come into every dream i have of spongebob(Again i was barely lucid so i really wasn't controlling what i was saying xD), but she said "You bet" and left my room. I stupidly closed my eyes right after that, but when i closed my eyes i heard her voice yell "No, don't close your eyes!" and i woke up :/ Next time when I'm more lucid i will try to spawn my dream guide and see if she shows up again Good luck!

A dream guide, is a character of your dreams, but its more than the usual Dream Character. He is intelectually superior to all the other DC's and his mission is to guide you, and help you achieve your goals. Some people have a really hard time finding theirs, others don't. Some DG's are human, some aren't. It's different from person to person.
