      Question about RCing

In real life, when you are doing an RC whether the finger/hand RC or the nose plug RC, should you act as if you are becoming lucid?

I'm not sure if that makes sense, but usually when I RC I kinda do like a mental "OH SHIT is this a dream?" moment, check my suroundings and then RC. I don't know, but am I doing it right? I know you should take it seriously.

That's exactly how you do it.

In waking life, you want to be seriously considering and believing, that you could be dreaming at that moment. And then you RC and you expect it to work, because if you were in a dream, it would work. You want this behaviour transfer itself into your dream and help you get lucid. So in your dream, you want to be asking yourself "Holly sh*t, is this a dream?" This question will get you lucid and then you do RC to confirm. Happy dreams
