Almost had a WILD!

I was resting in my bed early in the morning, thinking about stuff, when suddenly I started to feel and hear vibrations and a high-pitched fluctuating noise. I thought that meant I was in sleep paralysis, so I tried to imagine a scenario like it says to do to induce WILDs. I tried my best to NOT imagine something scary, but I ended up with an abandoned looking house in a field up in the country. It had a scary feeling to it. I thought "Oh well, maybe I could change it when I get into the lucid dream," But after a few seconds the image started fading away. I woke back up. Any thoughts to why I couldn't achieve lucidity?

Hmm, sounds a bit like a dream to me. Atleast the beginning of it. Perhaps you got too excited and that's why you didn't make it.
