      When lucidity brings disappointment.

All my dreams are pretty vivid and I generally remember them in great detail. I even have a fair number of lucids, have been having them my whole life but never knew there was a name for it. So even though I've been hanging around here for a few days, I can't say I've yet really tried purposefully to have a LD.

With that said, I had an interesting one the other night. Without going into details, something was happening in my dream that was pretty darn good, somewhere I'm striving toward in my business, and it was incredibly real. I was so happy to have finally met one of my major goals and what not. Then the light bulb went off and I knew I was dreaming. That was the only time I have ever been disappointed when it happened. The dream was so real and I was so darn happy that when I realized it was just a dream, I felt a bit of a let down. Oddly, I didn't wake up right away. I ended up driving a sporty car down a twisty road, which was nice in itself. Anyone else had that happen?

Haha yeah I once found my biggest love and realized it was a dream shortly after my biggest emotions for that girl ha been expressed... And well when I was a kid I dreamt that I won on a lottery and then thought to myself "This is too good to be true" and it was... xD

But there are also times where you are really happy that you are just dreaming. Like if you have one of those classics dreams of being chased by a man with a knife or a dream where you forget your clothes and walk naked to school. ^^

However my goal of dreams is not the experiece itself, but what I can learn from it. If you think that something like for example your subconscious is showing you something, then it's important to consider the meaning. For example the dream of me winning lottery made me realize that at that time I considered happiness to be money why is that? And the biggest love dream I realized that she was basically the girl of my dreams metaphorically and literally...

So I try to be thankful for every dream I have, even though I might get disappointed if it is a good experience that turns out to be false

I had a similar dream as well, but I took it in a positive light, as a motivation to be able to actually get to that spot and feel that in "real life". It's all about getting yourself in the right perspective I would say.
