Lucid every single night but not all there mentally

I've been realizing im dreaming every night lately, but its like a half lucidity. Its like i just dont care in the dream world. Id wake up in a dream but then just carry on with whatever is going on. I know im doing it too, but it just seems right. Before, when i went lucid i would stand there for a second and think to myself "ok im in the dream world, what did i want to do?" "oh thats right, i wanted to go to the moon."

Now id be hiking a mountain or swimming in a lake and id go lucid and just carry on doing what im doing but fully aware. How can i break this habit? Im missing out on a lot of cool stuff.

Its like my subconscious has a predisposed outcome or scenario for me to accomplish and it wont let me take full control.

      ADA.
      So meditation can also work.
      Visualization can also help.
      Mantra can help as well.

I'd train your visualization techniques if I were you.

Like howtoluciddream said, visualization would be the best thing to work on. It not only would help you get more out of the moment of your dream scenes, but it would give you more of a crisp mind to accomplish what you want to.
The best way that I would say to start practicing, is to just think harder than usual about what's going on. Think about how you personally move the air, and what actions of yours will create what consequences to be.

Focus on what you feel, and what you see and all that you can hear in the distance. The more that you can grasp out of each moment of your waking life, the more the dream state will project. More detail and realism will go into them. It's so incredible how the trained mind can create a real place, that isn't real. Cold winds that make you bundle up that are only in your mind, and etc.
We may guess that in dreams life, matter, and vitality, as the earth knows such things, are not necessarily constant; and that time and space do not exist as our waking selves comprehend them. Sometimes I believe that this less material life is our truer life, and that our vain presence on the terraqueous globe is itself the secondary or merely virtual phenomenon." H.P. Lovecraft

Wake up, chain the dream, problem solved. Atleast in my experience.

Long (possible) explanation to why can be found here:

OP here. So i went to bed last night after posting and before i got all the responses. I went lucid early this morning. When i became aware i was dreaming i was standing on the beach after a day of surfing. Some guy behind me was yelling out to someone in the water while standing on a porch of a shack. I remembered making this thread and i made sure i wasn't going to just continue on with the scene.

I walked behind the shack where i had some quiet and rubbed my hands together on my way. I yelled up into the sky "I want to talk to my higher self." Then i hear a voice say in a French accent "I will come in many different forms". Then he continued to talk but he was too quiet for me to hear correctly. I shouted again "speak louder please" and that work me up. I'm going to try again next time im lucid.

I'll have to try the techniques you guys suggested next time.

You know, I've had people tell me that I'm not all there mentally when I'm fully awake.

I totally relate, evo315, It's like when I started LDing last year it was SO good. Now, each LD is less interesting than the last. I'm awake, but doing what my sub. wants. I don't like it.

Prancing Wolf, how many have you had? ^^^ it says more than 25, but that could mean 2 mil or 26.

I never get bored in my LDs, after I become lucid my head i filled with things to do that are all awesome. I do not expect this to change because I have a lot of things I wish to do in dreams, and one of my favorite things to do is just explore the dreamscape, so that is always amazing.

Yeah, like 30. They range from full on lucid to me saying, "this is a dream" and thats it.

I just feel like lately they go by so quick and they're now in my control even though they are.

Gotcha. That is weird. It has happened a few times to me, but I normally stop and check myself. How many dreams you average on a night? I feel like having a lot of dreams makes you more aware of them, especially if enjoy them a lot.

That is pretty good. About what I remember. Weird.

Hope you get over that with more LDs.
