Thread: How do mantras work concerning the brain?

I've also read that it's good to add "I'm grateful" at the beginning of the mantra because of "law of attraction", or something like that. Is that correct?

I would not add it to mantra itself. But it doesn't hurt to express to your mind your appreciation for your dreams, experiences and anything else you are thankful for. I say it often anytime I think about it and even write it in my DJ.
