      Lucid in the dark

      Hi all,

It's been a while since my last post. LDing has been hit and miss lately, however I find that when I become lucid I am often outside in my garden. It's nighttime, dark and I'm a little confused. Last night was my first LD in a while but there I am, stood in the garden. It feels like I am actually there and not dreaming. I do a reality check to confirm but it's kind of disappointing to start here and it's not easy to change the scene. When I do it's still dark. This isn't a persistent thing but is becoming common. I even wonder if i'm just out of my body. How would you go about turning this into a daytime scene? What methods could I use to avoid this "starting point" of my LD? And is there a reason to this persistence?

      Peace

Here is one of the threads talking about how to make it sunny in LD.

Have you tried teleporting/flying/walking through door someplace else? Flying to the orbit and getting down on the sunny side? Yelling "look, sun is coming up". Can you change anything in your LD? Can you confirm if you OBE by looking at something and then checking in the morning?

My lucid dreams start in dark as well, mostly because i am WILD'ing and almost all of my lucid dreams start as false awakenings, it's pretty normal. Other than that check that thread gab posted link to, can't advice anything from my experience though since i have not got much control in my lucids yet.

We all have a start-point from our lucids. I am unsure the nature of this, but is common.

I would advice, every time you are in your garden and is dark,do a Reality Check.

In my case, I leave my room and home and I start to fly... most of the times is very dark, but I just keep flying and it always gets clearer and in a few seconds, is day and clear.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll check out that thread too. I love the idea of yelling the sun is coming up. I do do the reality checks so I know im not sleep walking lol but I think my biggest concern is that it ironically feels like I am awake, naked in the garden and therefor cannot (of feel like I cannot) do any of the "magic" of LDing. I guess I just feel stupid for being there. I have to take my mindset elsewhere once I do the RC, I have to be mentally stronger? I'll check out that thread now .. Thanks again ..

I had another dark lucid and started shouting, the sun is coming up, over and over. I kept looking in all directions and it was not getting any lighter. I actually lost my dream voice shouting so much. My throat went hoarse and I couldn't shout anymore .. Lol
