      Question Need some advices

I got a few problems, which for I couldn't find the answers after long searchings, so I'll post'em here, any advices or tips will be appreciated and tested. I'm a little stressed, but that's for quite a while now, so that can't be the biggest problem.

      1. Sleeping time. I usually go to bed at 9pm, and wake up at 4:00-4:30am let's say rested, but after that it's just impossible for me to sleep back, whereas about 3 months ago I easily slept 10 hours. I tried going to bed earlier, I just woke up even earlier (8pm-3am), and I tried going to bed later as well, but that neither helped (11:00/11:30pm-5/6am). This really spoils my dreaming and my chances to lucid dream, lucidity dropped back to 1/week, if I'm lucky. Meditation neither helped before sleeping, in fact it just made it worse.

      2. Techniques. So far only DILD and DEILD worked sometimes, with DILD I can hardly realise I'm dreaming, and if I do that's at the end of the dream and only for a few seconds. In DEILD if I manage to stay still, it'll hop me back into a dream, which is likely to be lucid but very short, usually 30-60 sec long, no matter if I stabilize or not.

      3. Dream recall. I was able to recall 5-6 dreams lately, nowadays I can mostly remember 2-3, lucid ones more vividly of course. I kept all the rules that are there like: no alcohol drinking, no drugs, no going sleeping when I'm really tired, no drinking before going to bed, eating 2-3 hours before going to bed (and after that nothing). None helped. Ironically, the last longer LD I had (probably 1-2 mins...) was at jan 1, when friends came over to celebrate Happy New Year, and I broke all the upper rules, and still had one short, but awesome LD. (After that one, next LD near jan 14, and one at feb. 1.)

I started lucid dreaming in 2012.07.20-24, and still can't say that I'll surely have one lucid dream per a week, that's the main reason I posted. I find LD-s and dream controlling fascinating, and hopefully there'll be a suggestion which will solve at least some of these.

      1. It seems like your body is comfortable with about 7 hours of sleep, so just go with it. You best bet is probably to try WBTB after 5-6 hours of sleep for a period of 10-30 minutes. This will increase the chances of a DILD in the following cycle, or gives you an opportunity to try WILD. If that disrupts your total sleep, you could do just 1-2 minutes. That's enough time to use the bathroom or drink a glass of water.

      2. IMO, WBTB+MILD will give the highest percentage of success for LDers with a few months of experience. Look into MILD and realize that it's more than just mantras. It's a system of improving your prospective memory and familiarity with the dream state. Reread your journal entries to find patterns and dream signs. Set tasks that you want to accomplish while lucid. Each night, choose one task to focus on and set your intention strongly on it.

      3. 2-3 dreams per night is still pretty good. To improve from good recall to great, I suggest more focus on detail over plot. Try to recall colors, textures, lighting conditions, and sounds. Two easy things I do: a) I try to recall the direction and qualities of the light source (sunlight? moonlight? coming from the window? coming from a lamp? pulsing or steady?) and b) I try to recall the color of the clothing and hair of all DCs.

I had 3 dream via WILD, and I can clearly remember 2, both were really long, after that for a reason I started SSILD (almost unconsciously), and had 4-5 FA including a weird one... I'll set up MILD tasks for today. Thanks for the advices , I guess it was a good start even if I didn't have any LD.
