I guess its easier for each person for each method. I'd probably start with DILD, it requires a little luck but I think its the easiest one to do. I'm trying to do WILD and its just so hard.

Dream recall is important, that's why we recommend keeping a detailed dream journal.

But you can start and practice for lucid dreams, even before you have really good recall. There is a good chance that you will remember your lucid, because it's just so exciting. if you wake up from a LD, get up and write it down. By morning, you could forget.

DILD is most often recommend to start with, simple because it's easier and then other methods will become easier, after some experience with DILD.

Read all the tutorials and pick one method you will concentrate on, while keeping in mind rest of the methods, in case situation presents itself for another technique.

      WILD (sageous)
      DILD (DV)
      Collection of methods for DILD

You could also join a class in DV Academy, either a beginner course, or one of the other classes. Good luck

Best method/technique really varies from person to person, even though DILD seems to be easiest for most people, i would personally suggest giving each one a try until you find the one that works the best for you.
And as gab said, you can go ahead and start practicing lucid dreaming, lucid dreams are generally much easier to remember than non-lucid ones as far as i know.
