Can I control 2 things at once in a LD?

For example, I tried to make 2 toothpicks fly an move between a circle, step by step. One and then the second.I can control one of them and do that.If I try to control the second, the first one goes down instantly.
Then, if I focus on the task : "make those 2 toothpicks fly between the circle" they start flying and move between the circle without any problem (I can even influence their trajectory). So, I don't focus on each toothpick and control it, I focus on the ultimate goal.
I'm curious, is this a self-imposed limitation or is something naturally? Can I focus or control two things at the same time?

I think (I'm not sure since I haven't tried this) that if you believe that you can make both of those toothpicks fly then it will indeed fly

Just imagine them doing whatever you want

I can make both but I want to make both fly by not controlling them at the same time.
I mean,I want to make the first one fly and then the other. While I try to make the second one fly, I want to still control the first one.But I can't.When I made the first one fly and then I tried focussing on the second one, the first one got down. I hope I explained well.I know my english is bad )

Maybe you should try to imagine doing this in zero gravity. It could give you more time to focus on the second one when the first is hanging in mid air without your need to pay attention to it?

This is a self imposed restriction, In Lucid Dreams there is NO restriction except your mind. Your subconscious must be acting in the same way that our brains cannot truly 'multitask'. We can only switch between different tasks very quickly. Whereas in a dream you can control any and everything. Just believe in yourself i guess, only practice can get you progress. Kinda like me trying to go super saiyan XD still havent been able to
