Yep - if you dream of waking up and actually believe you're awake (but you're not) then it's FA. |

When I fell asleep I was listening to music. I then had a dream that I was at school and I was reading a book on my phone but i was listening to music while i was reading. Class ended and I tried to turn it off but it didn't work. Then I woke up and tried to turn it off but it still didnt work. Then I woke up AGAIN and then when i tried to turn off the music it worked. Would this be considered a false awakening or just a regular dream? |

FA is a name for normal, regular dream, in which you happen to dream about specific thing - waking up and going about your business, as if you were awake. Only you are not. |

Yup, that's an false awakening, they can be easily turned into lucid dreams so as gab said reality check when getting out of the bed is a good idea if you experience FAs. |
