Just a question about MILD techinque?

So with stephen LaBerge's MILD technique it says you're supposed to take the last dream you recalled and visualize yourself becoming aware and lucid in it. does it have to be the LAST one you wrote down and recalled? or can it be one you remember much better? Thanks. check out the trackback for where i read about MILD. also, if i've got anything wrong, please tell me.

I don't really know Stephen LaBerge's MILD technique, but I'd say it would be best to visualize a dream that you remember much better. If your most recent dream was blurry and fragmented it would probably be harder to visualize and be less effective.

I think LaBerge actually was suggesting that you should try to remember your last dream, because the next step after remembering it is to return to it. Since the dream you just had is still floating around your unconscious -- more so if you successfully remember it -- recalling it might preserve it and prepare your memory to "return to it" when you go back to sleep. If you have trouble remembering the dream you were just in, then MILD might not be the technique to attempt at that time.

Summoning a favored dream might seem like a good idea, but with MILD it's better to draw from your most recent activity than from older memories... Of course, once you achieve lucidity in that dull dream, there's no reason you can't then return to that favored dream!
