Difference between Dream Sign and Dream Character?

Can someone please explain me the difference between this 2 words?
I know a Dream Sign is a place/object/person you see often in your dreams
but what is a Dream Character?

Dream signs is something, that you often see in your dreams AND in your waking life. That way you can RC during day on a dream sign with hope that when it shows up in your dream, it will trigger and urge to RC on it and you will get lucid.

Dream character, or DC is any person or "character" in your dream. Your friends, classmates, pedestrians on the streets...

Dream character is character in your dream, can technically be any (somewhat) sentient being i guess.

Dream sign is recurring object in dream that can be used to identify dream.

Specific dream characters can be dream sign as well.

Ok, a dream character is a character of your subcontious created by your mind, to represent a person, dream characters could be anyone, even people U don't know or atleast don't know u know

and a dream sign could be basically anything, from a hobo crossing a street to a specific bird call, for a good portion of my dreaming experience my dream sign was a old house of mine, the rooms, doors, kitchen everything.
The house was a dream sign, somtimes dream signes could be a pretty girl/guy, dream signs are reoccurring in your dreams, and are often good points to use when trying to lucid dream.
