Finding emotional solutions in lucid dreams

Hey everyone, I'm very new to lucid dreaming and am still trying to get my feet on the ground with it. But I was wondering if some experienced lucid dreamers out there could describe something for me... Recently I have been having some emotional issues (no I'm not some awkward mid-life-crisis dude) I'm 17 and have a lot of stress and life decisions to deal with as well as trying to get over/digest a deep love for a girl that I messed things up with. I was wondering how lucid dreaming can be used to explore oneself and try to find answers from within. I have read on here how some people can "ask their dreams questions" and get a deep emotional response or even summon a DC and talk it out with them. Apart from doing awesome super human things in lucid dreams, finding myself is another major thing I'm trying to get from lucid dreaming. Thanks!

That's a tough and general question with no simple answer. Really, I guess it's about learning some dream control. Also, you should give Robert Waggoners book Lucid Dreaming: Gateway To The Inner Self a read. He offers a lot of information on the type of thing you're talking about. Im sorry I'm not much help here.

Thanks Xanous! I'll definitely be checking out that book! I guess I wasn't really looking for an answer, just a description of the power of lucid dreaming and how it relates to you're feelings and emotions from someone who has had experience.
