Exclamation im sick of finding normal dreams posted in lucid experiences!

who else is sick of it!? i mean you got dream journals for a reason to write your dreams into, lucid experiences is in fact for lucid experiences! not normal dreams!, im just bit pissed off about it to be honest, i go and try read my fellow lucid dreamers experiences, and to find alot of normal dreams posted in it, like for instance just read, the tread mirrors in lucid dreams <and bad experiences with them>, and some of the people would post normal dreams about mirrors? its just not that tread though whole treads are devoted to some normal dreams people posted, i mean if your not sure if it was a lucid dream or not, then to be honest it wasn't a lucid dream if you cant tell the difference between conscious dreaming and a normal dream, then you got some problems...
could we maybe create another forum here, here people can post there normal dreams? cause it does get to you after awhile, thoughts?

We already have a forum where people can post non-lucid dreams, but yeah, people should be posting these in their Dream Journal, and not making new threads for every dream they have, lucid or not.

To be honest, it's always not clear if you had a lucid or not. Sometimes it's hard to tell, especially if you didn't have very good recall that night but you still thought you could've been aware in that one certain dream... or maybe the definition of a lucid dream simply isn't sharp enough on the more-viewed parts of the site, such as the wiki.

I personally haven't really seen any normal dreams in the lucid experiences subforum, but I do agree that they don't belong there... Whether someone wants to post their lucids there, however, is up to them. I don't see people posting every lucid they have in that forum, anyways. Usually it's just the first one, or second, or the 'first they've had since their dryspell started'. Things like that.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

^^ I read a couple of posts that talked bout really vivid dreams, but nothing that touched on lucidity.

In all fairness, I agree, some people can't really tell the difference. Usually those who have never had a truly clear lucid experience don't really get it, and the posts get placed in the wrong forum. Nothing to get upset or insulted about acillis, it just needs to get properly addressed and re-situated.

I guess I take for granted sometimes how lucky I am that my dreams are so clearly black and white: lucid or not lucid. I'm either dreaming and unaware that it's a dream, or I have the "BOOM I'm lucid woohoo time to play in my own personal holodeck!!"

I'm looking there now; I see that some of the more recent posts are non-LD related. But there's not many older posts like that, as in the lower half of the page or anything earlier. So maybe this is just one of those times when the threads in a subforum need a bit of a cleaning-up.

      ^^ Yes, could be.

That said, I just looked up the straight up definition of the word "lucid" all by itself:
1.) Expressed clearly; easy to understand: "a clear and lucid style".
2.) Showing ability to think clearly, esp. in the intervals between periods of confusion or insanity.

I guess I could see how a newbie might think that a dream which was simply clear or vivid is the same as lucid. Not an excuse for their mis-postings, merely an observation.

Indeed. It's slightly obnoxious because it spams all mod's email inboxes with flagged messages, but, whatever works.

I can understand that. I don't think I've ever flagged a post in my life, I had just always assumed it was for spam or offensive stuff
