Real or Fantasy - Which do you prefer...

Last night I had a dream in which I was in this immense underwater scene with short trees and a purple glow to everything. Previously I had a dream in which I was at my grandmothers house and other than a few odd details, the scene was realistic.

The fantasy underwater world seemed easier to grasp because it "made sense" that I would be dreaming. The realistic lucid on the other hand was more intense going lucid because for me, the realization was much harder to comprehend given the waking world logic of the situation.

So which gets you lucid quicker, a dream fantasy world or a waking world scenario? Which is more fun to start from? Do you dream more exclusively one or the other? Do you find one style easier to control?

      Just Curious...

Personally I haven't made up my mind. I enjoyed both immensely. Of course I'm still quite new!!!
If you're ever fed up with life, try having kids. It'll never be the same...
Plus you can do all that cool kid stuff again without looking like a creep. Bounce House, here I come!!!

Everyone else has a picture down here so here's the best band ever...

False awakenings in my room are the start of the most of my lucid dreams so far, others being becoming lucid in my room or other part of home, and only a few were in some kind of different place, because most of time when i am in fantasy dream scenario, my dream self switches on 'character mode'/'game mode', so yeah. So scenarios that happen in some place from waking world are better at getting me lucid, but i really would like to have more lucid dreams that start in some interesting place already.

Waking world scenario, but that's just because the majority of my dreams aren't filled with fantasy themes. I recall few dreams per week where I'm actually a in a place with dragons, monsters, spirits, weird realities. My dreams are mostly about people people and places like work/home/my city. My first lucids would always start with an FA, and my current lucids tend to occur in ordinary places.

I prefer fantasy world dreams for sure, just because they're so drastically different from waking life! I'd say about 50% of my dreams are set somewhere in my waking life memories and the other 50% are fantasy worlds. Lucidity has come naturally to me for my whole life, so the setting doesn't really make a difference in that aspect.

I prefer a mix of both.
It's cool to walk around in the school of your childhood for example and putting dragons, spaceships , and what not in it

While I have not yet had a lucid dream since my time registering to this forum, I can already say that I prefer a fantasy world.

There are many interesting things about them - places to explore, for one. In particular, exploring a fantasy world of some description tends to be something new, breaking the monotony of my waking life.
