Question Is there anything i am doing wrong?

This is one of my normal days [literally]:

      - I wake up and ask myself "Am i dreaming?" without any emotions.
      - I look around my room and see if there is anything out of the place, i finish observing and do a few reality checks.
      - I see my mom after leaving my room and do a few reality check without any emotions (since she is one of my dream signs)
      - I go to school and do a few reality check from outside (Kinda strange, because on my dreams i am always in some classroom, so i should starting to do reality checks in classrooms too?)
      - About some time later when i have a necessity to ask my reality, i do it, and look around the classroom, i finish observing and do a few reality checks. (I try to do it discretly, since it's kinda embarassing)
      - I do this about 2-3 times while i am in school.
      - My mom go get me at school, and i perform a reality check again.

I don't count how many times i question my reality, but i have a feeling
      it's about 7-8 times a day.

Well, the only problem i see here is, i don't even take 1 minute to ask my reality.
I look around to try to notice if there is anything strange, or anything is out of it's place, i perform a few reality checks
and tell myself i'm not dreaming.

      When i go to sleep:

      - I lay down and let my mind "wander" for about 1 minute.
      - I start to speaking my mantra on my mind: "I know that i am dreaming"

I can't feel any excitement, motivation or any other feelings when i am trying to fall asleep.
because when i am sleeping i like to "empty" my mind. My visualization skills are very awful so, i call my mantras "black mantra" since i can't
visualize anything or have any idea to fill that mantra with some lucid-related "images".

On week-end [I always do WBTB]:

      - I go to sleep around 01:30 am
      - I set my alarm on my phone to wake me up 6 hours later.
      - After 6 hours i wake up, and start to question my reality, and after observing i do a few reality checks.
      - I turn on my computer, and get on DreamViews to try to get motivation through dream journal entries or anything else
      - Unfortunatelly i never can't feel motivated, sometimes i even "fake" my emotions, i pretend to be motivated but i know i am not.

If there is anything i am doing wrong, i would kindly ask to someone telling me what is it.

I found that everytime i do a WBTB, i can remember more dreams, while
on a normal day i remember barely 1 dream, when i do WBTB, i remember about 2-3 dreams, which i find awesome.

Oh and i sleep about 8-10 hours everyday.

Thanks for your help and time reading this.

      Happy dreams

You have to ask yourself "am I dreaming?" WITH emotions. It has to be "wow, wait a minute! This could be a dream." And believe, that yes, it is. Even if your RC tells you that you are not dreaming, don't tell yourself that. Because then when in a dream, you will tell yourself same thing.

Check out this Collection of techniques for DILD and see what you could change in your practice. good luck

Do you get excited when you think about possibility of flying, going up in space, swimming in tropical see, meeting your favorite movie character and going on adventure with him/her? Or anything that you want to do in your lucid? If yes, that's the emotion you could recall when asking awareness question.

Just imagine, you already had a lucid dream. Or, have you read here on DV, how realistic LDs are? They can look the same as waking life. What if you are in a dream right now, you just don't know it, until you RC?

Do you get any tingle when you think about it?

I think you might be trying too hard... if you barely remember one dream on a normal day, maybe dream recall is what you should be focusing on rather than reality checks? A few years back I put a lot of effort into trying to lucid dream, then I gave up and just paid close attention to my dreams... now it just happens.

I don't know how to explain exactly, i feel a weird sensation on my stomach and that gets me excited i think.
But not everytime (Sometimes i get a bit excited what i could do on lucid dreams, other times i don't)
      it's strange.

I pay attention to my dreams too, i mean
sometimes i wake up and just stay lying and try to remember anything of my dreams.

I don't think i am focusing too much on reality checks, because the more times i'll do it, the more chance is that
i'll do them on a dream. but that is only my opinion.

Try and recall that feeling every time. It will become easier as you go.
