      Help when becoming lucid

So the past month I became lucid about 5 times. Each time on a different day, but in every lucid situation my stabilization failed, my 2 reality checks just completely did not work (plug your nose, push my fingers in my palms) and when i was trying to gain control of the dream I blurred out and exited the dream and woke up...

BTW I have already had some decent lucid dreams before and really have enjoyed them, so I know what i'm doing.

Well, is it ok if you could elaborate on your question? Do you wanna know how to better your stabalization or take control of your dream or both?

When you do reality checks in waking life, do you fully expect them to work? And do you put emotions into them? If you don't, do so, like "Wow, am i dreaming?" then do an RC while fully expecting it to be a dream.
As for stabilization, which technique do you use? In any case check out this tutorial if you haven't already: Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views , also you could try using different stabilization technique, maybe the one you are using isn't the best for you.

Sometimes stabilizing is difficult, pair that with the fact that you might be at the end of REM since that is the most likely chance to DILD, you can have some issues. I would personally look for a "personal" stability method. You have had long lucids before, what did you do in them? Find anything that is similar (and hopefully easy) and put all your trust in it. If yelling "stability" works, then why shouldn't playing tic tac toe? You are using the same muscle (your brain). I like stabilization tutorials that tell you to take in your surroundings, because that increases vividness normally as well. Nothing in LDing is cut and dry though! What has worked for a lot of people should give you an idea of what has worked with you.
