I was wondering how quickly to move to another stage of 'lucid training'. I'm currently just excercising my dream recall, not actively trying to become lucid. Would trying to become lucid interfere with my dream recall? I feel I might be able to do it if I set my mind to it (not sure if I actually can, I just feel I can), yet I've only just begun.

For the record, my dream recall is bad, remembering half a dream each night. Though I did manage to wake myself up about 100 minutes after going to sleep, which is what I've been attempting, so my mind does quite readily accept my suggestions. It'd be a waste if I can't remember, yet chances are quite high I'll wake up shortly after becoming lucid, so it'd still be fresh in my memory. What do you think, should I try, or take it one step at a time?
