Losing Lucidity by being a Spectator

Hey guys, so here's something that happened to me last night.

I dreamt that I was in a theater, like a Broadway theater. I was lucid very quickly, it was awesome. But when I became lucid, I sat down in one of the seats to watch the show, and my control faded away. The dream kept going like a normal dream, but I was only lucid for the beginning moments before I "took my seat." As the show played (someone on the stage was actually murdered by the jealous understudy, and some crazy stuff went down), I lost the realization that I was in a dream.

I actually find this kind of fascinating. The way that the spectator role caused me to lose lucidity. Like sitting down in a real theater, my mind somehow game up control in order to let the show take over.

Has anyone else had experiences like this? What do you think about this kind of thing?

      Yo.
Going with the dream sometimes increases chance to lose lucidity, also lucidity, as many things within dream, might be lost if you lose attention from it for a period of time, which i guess happened while you were watching the show. Engaging the awareness in some way(like reality check) every once in a while or even just mental note 'I am dreaming' should decrease chances of this happening.

Pretty much as Checker said, you probably shouldn't focus to much on things that are happening in the dream world unless you are directly controlling them. I've only had one LD But I could imagine if you begin to forget about it all and just go with it the stream and flow of the dream will suck you back in.

It happens to the best of us, just have to stay focused. It takes some practice, follow checkers idea with the frequent RC, or assert control of your dream more dominantly.
