Thread: An interesting way I stay lucid using dream characters

Hello all!

While LDing, I had the idea to employ a dream character to help me stay lucid. I told her, "whenever I start fading out, can you rub my hands or wave your arms so that I can stay grounded in the dream?" Now, whenever I star at something too long, or start to lose the dream, my dream characters are there for me! I can't tell you how many times I have maintained lucidity because of this!

Sounds like an awesome idea! Never thought of it like that. Pretty cool and original way of utilizing every aspect of the dream to your advantage too. But it would be a bit weird having them follow you, like if you we're trying to get somewhere spirtual I would rather go alone ect.

None the less, awesome idea.

I once used a dream character for lucidity as well (not so much stabilization), but I think I was too harsh, the DC said "sure I'll do it", but never did xD I guess I could try that stabilization one with my cats

Friendly DCs can be often very helpful indeed.

That's awesome. Sometimes when I remember to do it, I tell a dream character to shake and remind me that I'm dreaming every few minutes or so. It has worked twice so far x) but this is an awesome idea too! Thanks

What a lovely idea. I often take on the role of helper with my DCs, attempting to bring them along for the ride or wake them up.

Do they now help you every time you are lucid and start to lose the dream?
