WAS i CLOSE to lucid dreamin?

ok so i was dreaming about ME driving my brother to a place where you can play indoor basket ball NEXT to the place was a AMC theatre and i parked there... as i was driving i was watching a trailer on my phone of a game ... it had a part where it showed the street i lived in then i told my brother LOOK its showing are street of where we live And a bus crashes and flips with a white KING KONG trying to eat people on my STREET no w i was so shocked that the game developers did that.. he said I dont care about that stuff / i was drving a black cadillac CTS as i left my brother i was leaving the place i was in a hurry to get home because my mom would kill me if i left the house in a car WITH a permit..At this point i was confused that i was drving with a permit but didnt care and let the dream go on /// now i drove fast home as i got in my bed i legitmetally woke up scared that my mother almost found out i did that....

am i close to lucid dreaming ? its weird last week i didnt recall any dreams but only on weekends i recall my dreams.. is it because no alarm clocks on weekends .. do alarm clocks effect it ? .. and please tell me if im close THANKS YOU GUYS

Alarm clocks can effect it, that's why it's better to wake up naturally. If an alarm clock wakes me up, I wake up and have to stretch across my bed to turn it off, and it's easiest to remember dreams whenever you wake up and just sit there without moving, and alarm clocks require you to move to turn it off. I've found waking up naturally, I have a much better dream recall. This might not be the same for everyone though. You are probably close to getting lucid dreams. You're putting effort in, and this was actually really good dream recall. Good luck!

Yes, you are close. Most likely you will have one pretty soon, because you're putting in the effort, and that dream that you wrote was actually very good recall. You ARE close and will probably have a LD very soon.

Could you explain why you think you are closer to getting a lucid? This dream doesn't suggest anything out of the ordinary that would indicate improvement.

Strange things always happen in dreams; the fact that you were a little confused does show that you are getting better. Keep working at it!

If you were practicing anything that yo need to practice for lucid dreaming (awareness, RCs, mantras), or if you were thinking about lucid dreaming a lot, then having more awareness in a regular dream could be sign of that. A that is a good sign. Happy dreams

In addition, believing that you are close to lucid will also help you get lucid.
